Two different things people always confuse: your site's address, and the place it lives. You buy the first, we provide the second.
The domain name: it is your address, and it is yours
A domain name is what your customer types to find you: durand-bakery.co.uk. You buy it from a registrar — whichever you like — and it usually costs between £10 and £15 a year.
We do not sell them, and that is deliberate. A domain bought by your supplier is a domain you cannot take with you the day you leave. Yours stays in your name, in your account, at your registrar. We simply connect it.
If you would rather not bother yet, your site is live anyway at an address like fabrique-sites.fr/s/your-name. You can attach a domain later without redoing anything.

From whichever registrar you prefer. Our tool first tells you whether the name is still free, across five extensions.

An “A” record for the domain and a “CNAME” for the www. We give you the values to copy; there is nothing to understand, only to paste.

The certificate installs itself
The HTTPS padlock is issued automatically, with no work and no surcharge. Allow a few minutes to a few hours for propagation.

Hosting: the place your site lives
A site has to sit on a machine that is always on to stay reachable. That is hosting, and twelve months of it are included in the price you pay once.
Pages are served from Europe and your data stays in the European Union. You have no server to manage, no updates to run, no backups to schedule.
What people ask, and what we would rather put in writing
- What happens after twelve months?
- Hosting renews for €49 excl. VAT per year, and we write to you before the due date. If you do not renew, you do not lose your work: download your site as HTML from your account and put it wherever you like. Your domain does not depend on us — it stays with your registrar.
- Am I tied in?
- No. No subscription, no monthly charge, no automatic renewal. You pay once, you are hosted for twelve months; after that you decide each year whether to renew, for €49 excl. VAT.
- Can I move to another supplier?
- Yes, and without asking us. The export hands your site back as self-contained HTML files: no database, no JavaScript, nothing to install. They even work opened offline. That is what keeps you free.
- Do I need to buy the domain before starting?
- No. Write your site first and buy the domain when it suits you. The temporary address works from the moment you publish, and switching to a domain breaks nothing.
- What if I already have a site and a domain?
- Keep your domain; you only need to point it here. Your old site stays with its host until you change the two records — so you can prepare the new one calmly and switch when you are ready.
- Is an email address included?
- No, email is a separate service, provided by your registrar. Most offer a free forward from contact@your-domain to your usual inbox: that is generally all you need.
